So I sat down last weekend to work a bit more with my dragon and believe it or not I have finished a card. I have to say that work-stress and good friends are a good craftingforce.
After a hard week i sat down to get my head off work and I looked at the dragon and thought – who would I like to make a dragon to and the answer was obvious: Eva. So with her in mind I made this card to let her know that I’m thinking of her and that she is very special to me. I keep with the blue and red theme and I think these flower matches beautifully with the ones on the stamp so I used only them as an embellishment.
The inside is following the same theme but much more simple as usual. I did put some flowers there even if the card gets bulkier but I really wanted them there and the envelope is big enough to handle it.
On a completely different subject- I just ordered a new camera so soon my pictures will be much better (as seen here but I’m still learning), and hopefully I’ll start taking more photos and making some albums:) I have been dying to try Project life. I can’t wait!

This week I have been working on a card for the guest spot for House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge. The challnge for this week is “ribbon and pearls”.
I choose this beautiful stamp from Sing your heart out because I wanted to something with a feeling of spring. It have been sunshine out this week and it have really been wonderful. I tried to keep the green very fresh and lite and I just love how the hummingbird turned out.The sentiments is from Hero Arts.
All the papers are from Bo Bunny’s collection Sophie and the flowers are colored to match the pink paper. I do think the card turned out a bit to girly to my taste but I think I’ll send it to my grandma and she will just love it. I followed this week’s sketch from Sketch Saturday, I’m to late for the challenge but i Like the sketch. I have always wanted to incorporate a cornertreatment like this but always forgets so this was just an perfect opportunity for that. The button is from Basic gray and the ribbon is a cream-colored satin ribbon.

Due to a week of sickness I haven’t really made anything productive but during the last days I have manage to color Dreamy Dragon from Wee Stamps and I’m just in love! I wanted to show him off before the card is ready (that might take a while).
I really like how the branch turned out, I usually put way to much color on so I tried to keep both the branch and the dragon light.
I plan to cut him out with a circledie and mount him on a lacy-circle.

So after my remake I decided to make a card with my Boo stamps- that i adore but haven’t used yet.
The card is 11×15 cm and I based the card of this weeks Sketch Saturday layout. I just love the Boo-stamps and especially this one. When i see the ghost I just wanna hug them both. I tried to colors the doll in standard halloween-colors but I kept the card fairly colorless. The paper is from Doodlebug’s collection and the sentiment is from AmyR Sentiments.

So this weekend i have spent mostly redoing an old card I was unhappy with. I made the card about 6 month ago and i just felt that it was to cold, strict and empty so I finally sat down and made something with it.
I tore of the image so I could manage the background a bit better. I added a doily to give a bit of a softer look and then the green centerpice so avoid the emptiness. The sentiment if from another House Mouse set. I reattached the velvet ribbon and then added the black pearls instead of the black brads I had before.
Here comes a smaller before and after shot. The colors look a bit different and the true image is somewhere in between.

So This weekend I have been working on a card for my godson Gabriel’s first birthday. The card is OK but I’m not thrilled- but it have been a joy sitting and crafting for hours:)
I have wanted to use this stamp from The Greeting farm for a long time and It’s just perfect for a little boy. It’s colored with copics as usual but both dinosaurs is paperpieced and then shadow with copics. The stamp has one more dinosaur but sense he was freestanding and not as cute I didn’t use him.
The papers are from Kaiser craft and I added the doodling around all the edges to get some contrast and to get a more whimsical look. The paper with the balloons have glossy details and that’s why the doodling haven’t stuck to it. The diamonds-paper have and metal shine to the orange diamonds ( which looks black on the photo) which made it hard to photograph. I made the card with this weeks sketch form Sketch saturday.
Stamp: The Greeting Farm – Happy Day
Copic: B95, B93, B91, E13, E11, E21, E51, C8, C6, C4, YR18, YR14, YR02, Y19, Y15, Y21, E37, E35, E33, YR23, Y21, C2, B000, B0000, 0
Paper: Kaiser Craft – Party Animals
Dies: Spellbinders – Nestabilities, Pinking Circle, Circle. Spellbinders – Edgeabilities – Classic Rick Rack. My Favorite Things – By the numbers.
I made these flower right after new years but I forgot to pu it up here. They are embellishing my desk at work at the moment and I have plans for make another couple in bright colors to get a spring and summer feeling later on.
I do love how the flowers turned out but I have to change the stems, for these ones i used barbecuesticks and i think i need softer ones next time so I can get a softer look and so I can be able to get more flower in the bouquet. The papers from the flowers are from Inkido and are is a nice thin and double-sided paper.
So today is my mothers birthday so I have been making a card during the week. Sense she also loves House Mouse I did one with a teal/turquoise feeling to it.
After it’s finished I have to admit it’s probably more my taste with the dark contrasts but I think she will like it anyway. The photo is a bit off, my camera-battery was out so it’s taken with my Iphone.
All the edges of the paper and of the image have been distressed with Evergreen Bough. The cupcake-paper have been paperpieced with the same teal paper as I use in the background, but it looks a lot darker due to all the shading I did on it. All the papers are from Basic Gray’s Hello Luscious collection. The image have been colored with Copics but I forgot to write them down but The mice is cool gray and warm gray, the frosting is E40-E43 and the skin is my usual mice combination of E13, E11 and E51 (or 21).
As embellishments i have used the Jumbo snowflake from My Favorite things. I have been dying to use it (got it as a Christmasgift) and I just love the look of it. The tull-looking layer is something I got from my friend Marie. It was in an kind of beige colors and looked an awful like stockings. I colored it with some black ink and I like how it turned out but if you touch it it will give of color, which explain all the smudges all over the card. The sentiment is written in my handwriting and I bothers me a lot but it’s handmade and my mom have to love all I do (fortunate for me).
The inside follow the outside a bit but is keep very clean due to the fact that I’ll have to write inside what her birthday gift is.
Paper: Basic Gray – Hello Luscious
Stamp: House Mouse – Birthdays – Ice Cream – Birthday Cupcake
Dies: Spellbinders – Nestabilities – Square, Scalloped Square. My Favorite Things – Jumbo Snowflake, First place award ribbon.
So I actually finished a card today, i have fought the damn card for weeks and I dislike the result but i felt I had to finish it so I could move on. No matter how the card look I did like my coloring.
I just love how the elephants skin and jacket turned out. The reindeer is a mess but I’ll blame that to an too overfilled E25-pen.
Copic: C6, C4, C2, C0, E43, E41, E40, R24, R29, R35, E74, R39, W00, W1, W3, W5, N1, N3, N5, N7, E23, E25, E27, E29, N1, N3, N5, B0000, B97, B95, G24, G21, YG17, Y19, Y15

The challenge over at deep Ocean Challenges this week is to show of your craftspace so I took the challenge as an opportunity to clean my desk a bit:)
Not much have change sense the last time I showed my space. I recently received more Stampin’ Up stampstorage so now the entire shelf to the right is filled with those cases. The cases is colorcoordinated by brand and every case have the brand and the stampset-name on it. Due to this my paperpacks have been moved to my shelf to the left.
