Purple Kitty Katastrophe

This Tuesday it’s my baby-sisters birthday and i have been working on this card for quite a while now. I started to colors this like months ago in this nice purple tone. I recently found it just laying around so I deiced to make i for my sister, it’s a very fitting color and image for her. So I did the last coloring, like the hair, to suit my sister even better. The haircolor I chose I one that i think mimics the color my sister have right now. The frame for Kitty is made with nestabilities small labels and i started out with a white paper and then distressed with weathered wood. I do now own this stamp, I stamped up a couple on my copic-course in September so I have two left I think.

Anyway, i did use this weeks Sketch Saturday-sketch for my layout and i tried to keep with the purple tones from the coloring. The purple papers are from Maja Design’s collection “Ska vi ta en fika?” and the gray paper is from the Little black dress collection. All the papers have been distressed with either Dust Concord or Weathered Wood.

The top embellishment is a black satin ribbon that i tied some knots and the bottom one is a border made with Martha Stewart’s borderpunch Modern Garland. The butterflies are some fabric butterflies in pink and blue that I made black with a permanent marker and just stapled on. They have a bit of the shimmer of the old color which gives them a nice depth. The greeting is using some alphabet-pearls from Panduro that i glued in place with some glossy accent.

The inside is made with the same paper and idea as the outside and I left a nice big space for the greeting.

Marine birdy

So tonight i wanted to make a card for my mother in laws boyfriend. His birthday is in a couple og week, but he gave me the perfect reason to use my new stampset By the sea from Gina K and this beutiful papers for Maja Design.

I Wanted to make a scene for this card, i have been very inspired by Theresa Momber and her scenes lately and i just have to get some more sets to make better and more naturescenes.

Anyway. This card is made with the though of Gothenburg’s seaside, and thats why I bought this papers from the beginning. The layout is from this weeks Gina K challenge.

I have to admitt that im not happy with the sky at all. The darker part is made with faded jeans but on the sky it only came of as gray wish made my spring sky to a bit more stormy but it will have to be for this time. I do like the sea but next time i think i will make a less straight horizon.

A House Mouse graduation-card

Todays card is a graduation-card, which explains all the yellow and blue (the Swedish flag). It’s made to be sold and don’t have a preconsidered receiver and lacks dates and years because of it.

All the papers are from Maja Design’s summer collection and i did distress the pleaded paper a tiny bit with faded jeans. All the papers have been doodled around and the edges have been painted black. I have done the layout after this weeks Saturday Sketch Challenge (see the picture at the bottom-down to the right).

The image is from my House Mouse Birthday: Balloon set and using the stamp Pop-ular fun. I Have colored my lovely mice with promarker trying to keep a soft color scheme. I did not have a soft blue so i used my midnight blue witch a picked up color from with my blender-pen. As adding a bit texture and depth into the image i stamped Hero Arts background-stamp Happy definitions in Antique Linen.

The flowers are made by Fiskar’s Retro Flower Medium and flower power punches, using the same paper as the rest of the card and a soft yellow pearl as centerpiece. I kept going with the same pearls as embellishments on the outside. The ribbon is regular satin ribbon in two different colors and sizes.

I made the inside using the same background paper and i did the Happy definitions on the Greeting space, light enough tpo give depth and still do’t disturb the message that will be put into it.

Green Penny Black

This is the result from yesterdays craft-session with my sister and her friends. The layout is from this weeks Mojo Monday (#187). The image is one from Penny Black’s clearstamp set Piece of my heart, and as usually it’s colored with promarkers. The word “smile” on the images tag is a part of a sentence from House Mouse’s set Birthday: Ice cream. And the text in the left bottom corner is from Penny Black Critter Party and the “just for you” on the tags, that is the Quickutz die tags, is from Hero Arts Warm wishes. The border is made with Martha Stewart’s borderpunch Modern Garland. The papers are from Maja designs collection “Ska vi ta en fika”. The white paper have been dry embossed with provocrafts swiss dots embossingfolder. The other decorations are just light green pearls and dark green brads. Im also entering this card into the Simon says challenge – emboss it again sense in really happy with the card and the I love Promarker (#62) Anything goes.

Springcard with Pearls/ vårkort med pärlor

This card is made with one of todays experiments with Hero Arts stamp Flower Bird Garden and the emboss resist technique. The papers that is used is from Maja Design’s collection “Ska vi ta en fika?” (translates to “wanna take a coffe?”).  The bow is tide with my homemade Bow Easy (there is a post with a template for those who are interested) and the butterflies are stocking butterflies bought at a fabric shop. The image is cut with nestabilities Labels 10 and the frame is created by me tracing around the die i cut with to make a smaller frame then taking the next sized die. The top horisontal paper is run through a currugator. All the papers have been distressed with either Dusty Concord or Peeled Paint.

The image is made by stamping the Hero Arts stamp Happy definitions with Shabby Shutters on a piece of paper and then clear-emboss Hero Arts stamp Flower Bird Garden onto the paper (make sure the letters are dry when in my case the distress ink stays wet for a while and therefore might take on embossing-powder on places were it wasn’t intended). Then I spongened (and something by take the foam-piece of the blending-tool) colored in the open spaces with Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose.

I’m entering this card for two challenges also, the first is Lily of the Valley Challenges (#90) and the second is The Sweet Stop (SSS102). The first one is simple a Spring Challenge and the second is a sketch.

———————————————————-

Mojo Monday 184 – Cup of Tea

This card is made with this weeks Mojo Monday challenge as inspiration but also thinking of my friend Helena that loves tea. I want to make a card to her as a welcome-home-gift.

All the papers are from Maja Design’s collection “Ska vi ta en fika?” (it translates to “Wanna get a cup a coffe”). All the papers is distressed with Dusty Concord or/and Peeled Paint. The main image and the texts are from basic Greys stampset Cup of tea and the teabag on the sentiment is from a stamp that is a free sample with the paper “Craft Stamper”. The circles are nestabilities and the scalloped border is Fiskars border punch. All the ribbon is used were a lavender color that i then colored with copic V17. I also made an matching inside with a large area for a message.

Ljuskort m.m

Hoppas farmor Inger blir glad!
