A White and very Blue Shaker “Star Tilda”

So i wanted to do my first shakercard for this blog. I did one long before the blog started but let’s just say that it was in the begining and every time i see it on my mothers shelf i wish she would take it down.

So i wanted to use one of my favorite stamps: Magnolia’s Star Tilda.I did color this one a while ago and i found Bo Bunny’s Midnight Frost to suit her well, so i kept going. And if you know me I’m crazy for blue so it got the be a very blue card with hints of white. On the scrapmeeting a while back i stamped some background that my friend Linda had so i deiced that one of them would be in the shaker. I colored it lightly with lots of gray and blender pen so it wouldn’t take to much of the focus away from Star Tilda. The shaker is is made by oval and scalloped oval nestabilities. The plastic is from an nestabilitiepackage and the filling is white flocking from You Do. As an after thought i think that card would have looked better white the scalloped edge white and the flocking should have been handled more, now when you hake the card the flocking has a tendency to clump a bit.

The stars and letters have been cut from a white (with small blue lines) paper from the collection. The letters are die cut with a Double Do alphabet and the stars i stamped with a stamp i had (on the backside of the paper) and the cut by hand. Both the letters and the stars have been covered with stardust stickles. The rest of the card and the star Tilda holds is also coated with stardust. The ribbon is a white dotted organza ribbon.

A Forest-Christmas-Card

(I’m once again sorry for the bad quality of the photos but in Gothenburg it’s either dark from storms or night right now so it’s a bit hard with the lighting)

So today i have had an entire free day and I’m feeling healthy and alert so i deiced to make a card for my baby sister.

Last week I went to Borås with my sister and mother and Tina said that she really wanted a card with Squirrels. And fortunately for me i stamped a couple of the squirrels and the deer from the Greeting farm when i was in Kumla om the gathering.

So i colored the squirrels with copics. I tried to get a textured acorn i do think i succeded, but im not very happy with the dark squirrel so i guess it evens out:). The image is mounted on a nestabilities oval and label 18.

The Color Throwdown Challenge

The papers that are used a from Basic Gray’s Nordic Holiday, except for the woodgrained one that is from the Life of the Party collection. I knew that i wanted to go with a green and brown theme to get a forest-feeling, but after checking in on this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge i through in the bown-pinkish paper also (It feels less fink and more sueded in RL i think).

The layout is made from this weeks Sketch Saturday and i did embellish the card with some brown fuzzy brads and some smallpinecones i found on my way from work one day (mohaha, me collection stuff doesn’t always turn out with me throwing things away). The sentiment is From You Do and says “Happy Christmas” in swedish, strange phrasing for us also but i really like the font. The greeting is framed with on of spellbinders ribbontags.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

This weeks Simon Says Challenge is a photo-inspiration and i really got stuck on the green ornament with the white tree:)

Christmas hamster: card 3, last one

So I’m done with the last House Mouse and hamster card of the order. This one is a more old-fashioned one and I wanted a white hamster on this one. I really like how the hamster turned out but i do think the mice look a bit tan beside him or her so if i had colored the hamster first i would probably have gone with a lighter skin-combo for the mice.

The papers are, as on the other two cards, from DCWV’s The Christmas Combo pack.

So now i will head over to the next part of the order that will be featuring some Penny Black stamps….

Copic: E21, E11, E13, E04, E93, R20, E41, E40, E43, E31, E33, E35, E39, E37, E35, R29, R39, C0, C2, 0

stamp: House Mouse’s Christmas Opening Presents, Yo Do’s Svensk Jul (Swedish Christmas)

Other: Spellbinder’s Label 8. Antique Linnen Distress ink. EK Succcess’ medium corner punch.

Christmas hamster: card 2

So this morning I finished off the second House Mouse-hamster card.

The papers are, as in the first on, DCWV’s The cristmas Cambbo.. I did color the image with Copics again and this time I got very happy with the result on the orange tone on the hamster. This time I used YR01 instedad of E31. . Another addition i did was that i used more Snow marker compared to the first one so this time it shows off a lot.

For the sentiment I used You Do’s Svensk Jul-set and its mounted on  on Spellbinder’s Ribbontag Trio. Both the ribbontag and the image have been distressed with Peeled Paint. Then i decorated the card with some buttons.

I’m entering this card for

Stamp: House Mouse’s Christmas Opening presents, You Do’s Svensk Jul (swedish christmas)

My Wedding-invitations

So i have finally finished wedding-invitations. I did finish them last weekend but it took me a while to package them and then get a photo.

The basic feeling, and layout is taken from Dawn from Stampin’ Up that made a very similar card. I kept the parts i could and changed some. You can see Dawn’s card here.

The embossed parts is from from two different small embossingfolders from Provocraft. The top one is from the Iron Works set and the bottom one is from the Organic flourish set. I also used the provocrafts Swiss dot embossingfolder for the “weddingdress”.

The weddingdress is made by a skintoned heart and a white, embossed oneand finaly it’s decorated with three pearls, small or medium in white or pale blue. The jacket is made by a white heart and then a back on top, and the black ons has a triangle cut out from the top to make the jacket-shape. Finally it was decorated with 2 small or medium pearls and a small bowtie. On the picture you see a card with the small pearls.

The stamp is from You Do’s wedding set and it says “wedding” in swedish

Dies and folders: Spellbinder’s Heart nestabilities, Provocraft’s Swiss dots, Iron Works and Organic Flourishes

Stamp: You Do’s Bröllop (Wedding)

Glitery, Pink Florence

Here comes a card I’ve been working on the last couple of weeks. It’s an order for a friend of my moms and it’s for a birthday girl turning 10. The criteria was to use Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Florence and make it sparkle.

I started out doing this card for like two weeks ago and didn’t finish it until yesterday. Every time i go past my craft-corner i get drawn in by all my wedding inventions that needs some attention so it have been hard focusing on this card. I started out bu choosing this papers from Bo Bunny’s collection Vicki B, i love the vibrant colors and i think they would be super for a little girl. From that i colored and paper pieced her. So for a week ago or something i stared to think about the layout and fortunately for me Kraftin Kimme’s Challenge blog had a sketch up that i liked so i used it. Unfortunate for me when i entered the blog yesterday it seems a week have passed and a new challenge has begun. And happily for me it turned out that this weeks challenge is paper piecing so i can enter it anyway, whoho!

To add the glittery part of the card and to make some texture i used a lot of soft, glittery flocking from You Do. On the striped paper i made one green and one pink stripe flocked and on the paper with the circles i flocked all the circles that were pink, orange and green, to match the flocking i choose. I also added the pink flocking on the headband on Florence. As a last step i punched some flowers with EK Success’ Retro flower and flower power punch and flocked them in different colors. I thought the flocking was thick enough to cover what ever cardstock i used, but it wasn’t really true so i ended up remaking it with green, orange and pink cardstock to make a better coverage. I tried to take another photo of the flowers to show the nice shine and fussyness.

Stamp: Kraftin Kimmie’s Florence

Copics: YG13, YG17, Y17, Y21, R39, C0, C2, C6, C8, C10, 0, E21, E51, E11, E35

Papers: Bo Bunny’s collection

Dies and punches: Spellbinders Circle, scalloped circle and woky rectangles. Martha Stewart’s border punch Modern Garland. EK Success’s Retro Flower (medium) and Flower Power Punch.

Other: You Do’s flocking, Glossy Accent and some pearls.

Konfirmationskort

All day yesterday i was a very busy bee creating 8 cards that my aunt have ordered.  I got completely free hand making 8 confirmation invitations. This will be my first payed order so I’m a bit happy for that! I did wedding-inventions for my friend that got married last summer but them i made for free after she bought all the materials i needed.

I went with a clean and simple design sense i had to do a few of them. They are 15x11cm and the patterned paper is Inkido’s Turquoise Newspaper. I wanted a hint of blue when my two cousins that will be confirmed is two boys.

When planing the card i realized i had no stamps that would be fit for the occasion so i went downtown and came home with Reprint’s text set and You Do’s Wedding set. The stamps I ended up using is from You Do’s wedding set witch contained but the greeting (invitation in Swedish) and the small church.

The inside is simple decorated with a big black block that the information will be glued to when my aunt gets the cards and prepare then for the send.

I’m very happy with the simple but still nice look, only bad thing is that I’m now out of both white and black paper but another trip downtown might help that problem.

Pysselbord?
