First golf-card

So I got an order for three cards, 2 golf cards and one blue house mouse card. So after a long days of crafting i have finished the two golfcards and the HM card only needs to have the image mounted.

This card is for my client’s husband on his birthday. So i choose my papers and embellishments from Basic Gray’s Marjolaine collection. The layout is from last weeks Sketch Saturday, but as usual when i start up a project midweek the challenges expired, but I’m really happy with the look. As you can see I once again tried to photograph after sunset so the photo is a bit blurry and the colors are a bit off. But the left side of the card is most true.

Sense I don’t have a golf-themed stamp i surfed the web a bit and found this cute little guy. He is from a coloring site, mainly for kids (you can find it here). I printed it on one on my Copic papers. Unfortunately the printer i used is a bit odd and refused to print it in black so i got an image in dark red so I traced all the lines with my black copic multiliner. At some parts you can still see hints of red but i hope the recipient won’t.

Copic: YG11, YG13, YG17, G29, G85, B91, B93, B95, B97, C10, C8, C6, 0, E00, E51, E21, E11, E57, E29, E49. Black multiliner.

Paper and embellishments are from Basic Gray’s Marjolaine collection.

Stamps:”Grattis”-stamp is from reprints text-set. ”Det finns ingen som du” is from Arkivet.

Other: Spellbinders Octagon Nestabilities. Paper Piercer. Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

Pink Waterlilies

I have for a while now been coloring another House Mouse image for practice, and this time I used the lily Pad Pond from the Summer: Waterlily-set.

I’m really sick and can barely think straight so now when i decided i had to mount the image onto a card for this weeks House Mouse and friends challenge i really say that it turned out good, but it’s not terrible anyway.

So this will be a short one so i can get back to bed. Hope you enjoyed it anyway.

Fruity fun on Hello Luscious

Ever sense i made the grayish card with these two wonderful mice I have wanted to do one in color, but i have been a bit intimidated by the red blending. After seeing all the food and fruit-challenges this week i decided to give it a try. I think i was very successful with the cherries. I did keep them a bit light, mostly so i could start training on that colors before i gave it a try with a darker shade.

I used this weeks Sketch Saturday layout for the card and i REALLY hope i win due to the fact that the prize is copic-pens. And i want and need more of them!

All the bright edges, like the image and the beige papers have been distressed with Antique Linen. The sentiment is from The Basic Grey’s Cup of Tea stamp-set. The inside is very simple but I think it matches the clean-looking front.

Copic: E00, E11, E13, E04, N5, N3, N1, R20, R22, R24, R29, G17, G67, E39, E35, E31

Twincards with Origins

This weekend my twin cousins will get confirmed so i have made a card for them to go along with the gift. Sense they are twins I deiced to use the same layout and the same paper but switch among the patterned papers. I have troed to ge a more maskuline and rough clean stile if that makes sence.

Because it’s summer (and the fact that i got it home yesterday) i deiced to use Basic Greys collection Origins. I have used papers from the 6×6″ paperpack and some single 12″ papers. I have tried to have one brighter and one darker card.

The layout is from this weeks Inspirational Card Sketches, a bit modified but i hope everyone can see the similarities anyway.

The H’s are for their names (Henrik and Harald) and I made them by drawing a template that i then traced four times. On the ones with the patterned paper i then cut away a small portion on all sides. The frame for the H is made with Spellbinders label 18. The tag is made with Tim Holtz’s die Tiny tabs and tags. The ribbon used for the tag and for the corner is a regular satin black ribbon. The dots in the lower corner is just some different colored brads.

All the papers and the frames have been distressed with distress inks. All the papers have been distressed with Peeled Paint and a little bit of Vintage Photo. The frames have been distressed with Shabby Shutters and a little bit of Peeled Paint.

The insides are also copies of each other and are only different by the paper that is used on the bottom. The chosen  paper is the same as the on the from so there is a connection between the two pages. You can see the insides here and here. I left a lot of white space so all the families signature will fit;).

Paper: Basic Grey’s collection Origins

Dies: Tim Holtz’s Tiny tabs and tags, Spellbinder’s label 18.

Summer Hello Luscious

I’m just so stupid, i have been doing this card all evening with the thought that the Kraftin’ Kimmie recipe was: a bow, a button and a chipboard. Sigh. Well fortunate i seem to have everything everyday if you count the flowers on the paper, which i do.

Well anyway… The card is made based on Basic Gray’s collection Hello Luscious and both paper and buttons are from that collection. To get some dimension i did run the brown paper through my paper crimper and i used a piece of thick chipboard that i glued the blueish paper to. I did sand the paper on the chipboard to get the white of the paper and the chipboard to blend together. The sides, on the outside and on the inside is painted black with a magic marker just so the gray won’t show.

The stamp that is used is Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Florence and the sentiment is from Gina K’s Fanciful Tags. I did paper pieced Florence dress with the same paper I used in the top border. Otherwise she is colored and shadowed with copics. I’m not happy with the lower part of the face. Stupidly enough i did the glasses last so i spilled some black onto the face and when i tried to save it the colors got separated and bad, and it felt like it got worse the more i tried to save it so i gave up.

The black twine and the brown ribbon is some generic kind that i just had laying around. It was the same with the chipboard, i got it in a free sample pack a long time ago and i don’t remember from were i got it.

The colors of the card ain’t that true in this picture. It’s stormy outside so i had a hard time to get a good light to take the picture in so the colors are a bit brighter then in real life. The card also look very much more dimensional then on the picture, it might be the colors that makes it look flat but i also had to take the photo of the card laying down which probably doesn’t help…

An inside will probably come tomorrow, I’m just to tired now and will get something to eat…

Copic: E00, E11, E13, E39, E35, Y21, 0, C0, C2, C10, C8, C6

Stamps: Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Florence, Gina K.’s Fanciful tags

Paper: Basic Gray’s Hello Luscious

Other: Basic Gray’s Hello Luscious Buttons, MFT’s Jumbo scallop border die, Paper Crimper

Max and Whiskers: Gray Cat

When i was playing and making yesterdays Max and Whiskers- card i got inspired so today i finished of a second one, this one ia bit darker color.

The image is from Recollections Meow Meow set and have been colored with some Natural Gray Copics. The Background in the ovals is distress inks, and i masked of an area for the ground using a torn post-it.

All the papers is from Basic Gray’s Max and Whiskers collection and its the 12×12 single papers that have been used. The buttons used as embellishments is half a snap-button (no idea of its real English name) and i found them in my sewing-box some time ago. I did attach the ribbon on the Nestabilities Oval with a regular stapler.

I tried to keep the inside on the same theme but i made the lower part a bit lower. The paw-stamps is from the same Recollection’s set.

Copic: N9, N7, N5, N3, N1, E04

Distress Inks: Broken China, Antique Linen

Nestabilities: Oval (small and large)

Stamp: Recollections

Paper: Max and Whiskers

Basic Gray Challenges – Doilies and Ribbons

Bright and light: Max and Whiskers

This card is ordered by a work-friend to my mom and the directiv was: a birthday card for a woman that loves cats, 15X10cm. So this is what i ended up with, i hope she gets happy and will approve of it.

I tried to keep the layout pretty simple sense the papers have a lot going on on them. The papers is from Basic Greys collection Max and Whiskers and i used my 6×6″ paperpad.I used a cream cardstock for the base and a golden shimmering one for the framing. Without seeing the shimmer i think it had the exact color as some of the yellow/light orange tones on the background-papers so i was thrilled finding it in my stash. I also like the edge it give the card when the light hit the shimmer. I got even more thrilled when i realized that i usually are thinking of putting it away sense it never seem to fit any of my projects. I have to use it more times with these papers!

The image is from my new stamp-set Meow Meow from recollections and i did the kitten very bright to keep a light look on the card. The cat is colored with Copics (I so love it, i didn’t spend much time when i needed it to be done quickly but it’s still way better then lots of time with promarkers!). On all the areas with colors, like the necklace and the pendant i colored a thin layer of N3 to dull out the color a bit to really match the backgroundpapers. The cat and the scalloped and regular circle, the circles are  nestabilities, have both been put up bit foam tape, and the backing in the circle have been slightly distressed with Broken China.

I tried to mirror the inside with the front with the exception that the inside scalloped Circle is bigger (more room for writing) and that the proportions on the patterned papers therefore got a bit smaller.

Papers: Max and Whiskers (Basic Gray)

Stamps: Recollections

Pens: E43, E41, E41, E04, E00, BG15, BG13, Y17, N3 and 0

Other: Broken China, Scalloped Circle and Classic Circle (Spellbinders)

Simon Says Stamp – Anything Goes

Green and yellow Sleeping in the Crocus

This card is for mu aunt that will lend me her house during my mini vacation this week. As a thanks you she and her family will get this card and a small surprise.

The card is inspired by this weeks House Mouse Monday Challenge no 96 – Love for the game and the theme is either football or green and yellow so i choose to make a card in the theme of Green and Yellow.  The paper is Basic Grey’s Origins and the image is House Mouse’s Sleeping in the Crocus. The picture is colored with promarkers. I have hand-stitched the image to the frame with a light brown embroiderythread.

The inside is made by using the same paper and the same idea as the front. The greeting on the frame is from Gina K’s fanciful tags.

Basic Grey Waterfall card

This card is made for this fortnights Basic Greys challenge ”More the one fold”.

All the papers are Basic Greys Max and Whiskers and the images are cut from a sheet from the same collection. I have for a long time been thinking of making a card with a waterfall feature, but not like the normal ones with the waterfall in the middle and that it. So instead i made it as a side-treatment on a regular square cardbase. I do like the look f it but it’s a bit to much of the main feature right now, i will have to keep experimenting. The frames for the images is a Povocraft die, a free sample I got when o bought my cuttlebug, in shape of a stamp.

The Greeting shape is a nestabilities and the corner treatment and the letters (at the bottom front) is Peel-off and stickers that i have colored with a black permanent marker. Even if the marker is black i have found out that all surfaces that is a bit glossy will turn out dark brown. All light papers have been distressed with Spiced Marmelade and the blue paper with Broken China. The Greeting is stamped with Versa Colors 171 Pine Cone.

For those that want a waterfall-template i have one (click for a larger image). You can switch all the measurements but keep the pulling-mechanism a bit thinner then the frames. Parts 4-7 is the waterfall-mechanism and can be put on all different kinds of card.

Basic Grey and House Mouse birthday

This card is made for my friend Kristoffer and his birthday this weekend. The inspirations for the card I got from Basic Greys Challenge and House Mouse Challenge for this week. The Layout is from the House Mouse one and the Basic Grey challenge is ”more then one fold” so i decided to make an Easel-Card. All the papers are Basic Greys Pyrus and the stamp is from House Mouse set Birthday: Ice Cream and the stamp Birthday Cupcake. The image is colored with both Promarkers and Copic and the frosting is coated with some glossy accent that have been sprinkled with a bit off black embossingpowder. I tried to find something good as sprinkles but couldn’t find anything suitable and embossingpowder was the best i could come up with (too late I realized that i could have used some of my brown flocking, but maybe next time). I embellished the card by putting in eyelets in the corners of the cardfront and the image and threaded a rounded ribbon through them. Due to the fact that this cardfront is mounted on an Easel-card i just taped down the ends in the bottom half and I did a knot with a piece sticking out on the top half were you can see the backside of the card. I keep  going with the ribbons on bottom part of the card but on the right side i did a visible knot. All the papers are roughed and distressed with vintage Photo. The Image is also distressed with vintage photo and i added some faded jeans. The black embellishments are rubb-ons that i cut into small pieces.

——————————————————-
